The bays at the front of the school on Juniper Way are the only designated Kiss and Drive Area.
During Kiss & Drive times, these bays have been set aside SOLELY for dropping off and picking up children while the driver remains in the car.
This area is sign posted as a NO PARKING area between 7.30 and 9.00am and 2.30 and 4.00pm weekdays. Please do not park there during these times.
Advise any family members or friends who pick up or drop off your child of our Kiss & Drive requirements and parking arrangements.
Please be considerate to our neighbours when parking around the school.
If you can answer "yes" to all the statements below, then Kiss & Drive is right for you.
My child(ren) /children are in years 1-6. Kiss & Drive is not an option for Kindy and Pre-Primary as they have to be collected from the classroom.
I CAN:
Be courteous to people supervising Kiss and Drive, and do as they ask. They know how to best manage traffic buildup and keep things flowing.
Collect my child(ren) close to 3:10pm (when the school day finishes). I'm aware that although Administration is always present, it is not their responsibility to supervise students after school hours.
MY CHILD(REN) CAN:
Get in and out of the car, with their bag, on the left, without assistance.
Be responsible enough to make their way quickly from their class and wait behind the red line at the school fence.
Be attentive enough to keep a lookout for the car/driver picking them up.
Time your pick up to allow children enough time to be ready.
Move as far to the front of the Kiss & Drive bays as possible.
Stop in a marked bay and remain in the vehicle.
Children must get in and out of the vehicle from the left side only.
Exit the Kiss & Drive bays safely, paying attention to oncoming traffic and wayward children.
NOTE: If your child is not waiting at the fence ready, or the bays are full in the morning or afternoon, you may be asked to "TAKE THE LOOP" to prevent traffic build-up.
Proceed around Juniper Way roundabout, left into Davallia Rd, right into Granadilla St, around Quilter Drive roundabout, then continue back to Kiss & Drive.
The circuit takes about 2 minutes, which gives children more time to be ready and keeps the traffic flowing.
Kindy and Pre Primary children are escorted to school so parents/carers can assist them with their morning routine. Pre Primary children can use Kiss and Drive if they are escorted by an older sibling who is in Year 5 & 6. Siblings in Year 4 and below are not permitted to escort Pre-Primary children to Kiss and Drive.
All areas are well sign posted by the City of Joondalup. Rangers regularly patrol these roads and do issue notices and fines.
Park on either side of the road and cross safely with the crosswalk attendant.
Please park considerably to allow the max. number of cars between driveways.
Park on the road 10m past the roundabout beyond the double white lines.
Parking is only permitted on the park (east) side of Juniper Way.
Please do not drive over the footpath or use the “service vehicles” driveway to park on the grass between the footpath and the wooden logs alongside Juniper Park.
The driveway into the staff car park can be an unsafe place for pedestrians to cross.
Do not park on the grass near the entry to the staff carpark.
Do not park anywhere on the roundabout.
Parking on verge and in designated bays.
This is a good option for families in the Early Learning Block.
Walk through the park towards the footpath leading into the north side of school.
Additional parking is also available here.
